Our Languages pathway provides children with an opportunity to communicate more effectively with others, helping children to understand what it is to be a global citizen. This includes the importance of tolerance and understanding, which is crucial knowledge in today’s world. Children develop their ability to manipulate language step by step, steadily increasing the complexity of simple grammatical concepts. We focus on teaching French after liaising with our local Secondary school: providing continuity and an opportunity for continued progression in KS3.

How do we enrich the curriculum experience?
We enjoy bringing French to life and invite you to join us for our ‘French Market’ experience. Children organise different stalls for visitors to use ‘euros’ to buy food to eat. Come and join us for brie, croissants and of course escargot ! We also have a Christmas taster menu where children can taste a range of French Christmas food including buche de Noel. Bon appetit!
