History

Our History pathway inspires children to think like historians, examine evidence and debate conclusions. We provide a curriculum that encourages children to make sense of the present as well as the past, and to appreciate the complexity and diversity of human societies and development. We provide enriched building blocks of progress in history, identifying essential knowledge and challenging vocabulary. We value the importance of children developing chronological knowledge and developing a ‘mental timeline’ of the past.
