Information about our School Opening HoursÂ
The official start time of our compulsory school day is 8:30. Children can enter school from 8:15. The official end time of our compulsory school day is 15:00. At Newton Tony Primary school, the total time in our compulsory school day amounts to in a typical week , including breaks is 32.5 hours. This duration includes break times, lunch, and core teaching hours. Our Breakfast club opens at 7:30 every morning and our after school club closes at 17:30 Monday -Thursday and 16:25 on Fridays. For more information contact the school office.In England, all state-funded mainstream schools are expected to provide a compulsory school week of at least 32.5 hours (6.5 hours per day) by September 2024, as outlined in the UK Parliament report and Department for Education guidance.Â
