Girls on Track !

May 27 @ 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

‘Girls on Track UK’, formerly ‘Dare to be Different’, is an initiative managed by Motorsport UK, whose main aim is to inspire, connect and showcase females in motorsport as well as in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths (STEAM) subjects. Through active, engaging activity days for schools, we aim to excite and encourage girls into believing that there is a rightful place for females within the motorsports industry.

Our Y4 and Year 5 military family girls and all our Y6 girls are participating in the Girls on Track UK event at Thruxton Circuit (A303, Andover SP11 8PW) on Friday 27h May (8:30am-2:45pm) as part of the British Touring Car (BTCC) race series.

On the day, the girls will be given the opportunity to:

· Experience the thrill of the BTCC and F4 paddocks, with exclusive access to the paddock, garages and the opportunity to meet some of the teams who work in the series

· Experience life in a racing pit lane by performing a pitstop challenge

· Embark in an engaging engineering-based activity

· Meet one of our race doctors and take part in a resuscitation challenge

· Work with a motorsports presenter and carry out a piece to camera

· Test their reactions with some fun games, including a batak light game

· Meet some of the inspirational Girls on Track Ambassadors who are incredibly successful women in the field of motorsport
